Food Recipient Testimonials

"Last year I unfortunately lost my main source of income. As I juggle multiple odd jobs, I am not at the level that I was. Sweet Wheel Farm has been a godsend. I reached out and immediately they were there to help. Providing fruits and vegetables has allowed me to cover my rent, utilities and gasoline expenses since my grocery bill has been drastically reduced. My situation is a bit embarrassing, yet they have been discreet and respectful. I am so grateful for their generosity"- RD

Do you know a local resident in need of fresh food WITHOUT preservatives and pesticides?

Santa Barbara Agriculture Farm and Education Foundation is a local nonprofit dedicated to educating and promoting awareness about how our food is grown. We aim to provide access to fresh, chemical-free, regenerative and sustainably-grown food to food insecure families and medical patients. In an effort to conquer food insecurity, we are taking a path taken by few: to provide food that is grown with the highest standards making sure the SBAFE’s Sweet Wheel Farm in Summerland is chemical, herbicide and pesticide free.

SBAFE Foundation is dedicated to serve the underrepresented, veterans and medically fragile

such as cancer patients. The farm’s location in Summerland is a government-certified food desert: a region that lacks access to any affordable and healthy food. Summerland Sweet Wheel Farm serves as a model of a regenerative agriculture system that can be replicated in other areas in and beyond Santa Barbara County.

To nominate a citizen for whole, preservative-free fruits and vegetables from the Sweet Wheel Summerland Farm,  email us at sbafefounation@gmail.com and share this the name, email, phone number, address a little on why you are nominating them.
